Woodward Avenue Cyclists is an organization for cyclists of all categories, ages and abilities interested in amateur road racing whose primary mission is fun and secondary mission is cycling advocacy. Woodward Avenue Cyclists is a club team for lost and lonely cyclists into amateur road racing searching for like-minded others in the Detroit Metro area with whom to ride, race and drink beer. Woodward Avenue Cyclists is a support system for recreational cyclists interested in amateur road racing but not so sure about the whole lycra-wearing dorkiness of it. Woodward Avenue Cyclists is a social group for young, energetic people who are bored, over the smoky bar scene, and looking for a new hobby into which they can invest all of their time and money. Woodward Avenue cyclists is for people who love the Motor City but…well…not so much with that whole “motor” thing.
That’s how we’ll start, at least. Later, we’ll take over the world.
